Following a successful trial, a permanent position has become available for a Sector Clinical Lead, to join the Trust’s Community Resuscitation Team (CRT) and wider volunteering function.
This vital role will provide clinical oversight and assurance for the service line, ensuring our volunteer clinical governance, training, polices and guidance align with both Trust and National guidance and strategies.
The successful candidate will join the CRT senior management team reporting directly to the Regional Community Engagement Lead. They will work closely with area CRT management and their teams. They will be the subject matter expert for all things clinical for our volunteers and the teams that lead them. As well as contributing to the day-to-day clinical support, they will also contribute to the development of our volunteer training programmes and support the review of volunteer scope of practice.

We are looking for a passionate individual with a drive to improve clinical performance and practice. You will have experience working with volunteers and a proven track record of undertaking clinical investigations, supporting pathway development and deployment. You will have the ability to manage competing demands on a day-to-day basis and deliver on long term projects.
This role will work closely with the CRT leadership team Area Consultant Paramedic, and our volunteers, and would offer a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step on their clinical leadership journey.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
