Overview
An exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Breast Imaging team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. The post is predominantly based at the Hospital but will also support a community courier role, delivering essential equipment to mobile screening units.
Shift Pattern
Work hours are flexibly over 6 days (Monday to Saturday). Available shifts include 08:30‑16:30 and 09:00‑17:00.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Assist with patient care before, during and after imaging examinations.
* Clean scan rooms and manage stock control and replenishment.
* Support the specimen checking process and courier duties.
* Receive and prepare patients for procedures, and chaperone clinical staff.
* Ensure biopsy specimens are checked and taken to the collection point.
* Order supplies and conduct stock checks.
* Maintain a clean environment in line with infection control standards.
* Perform data entry under guidance of clinical staff.
* Provide courier support – this requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in patient care.
* Ability to work well in a team and independently using initiative.
* Full UK driving licence (international licences are not accepted).
* Immunisation and vaccination report must be provided.
* Female applicants only – genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
