The SGSPLUS programme aims to develop social understanding, equip young people with the skills needed to achieve and thrive, and provide memorable experiences that enhance their overall college journey. We are seeking to appoint a Personal and Social Development Co-ordinator who will support curriculum areas with the planning and delivery of high-quality Enrichment and Tutorial provision across our Filton and WISE campuses. Guided by both the SGSPLUS Framework and the College strategy, the successful applicant will plan, coordinate, record and deliver enrichment opportunities that strengthen learner community, raise achievement, build readiness for future pathways, and contribute to learners' overall enjoyment of their college experience. This will include creating course and level-specific enrichment activities delivered face-to-face that complement and enhance core study programmes. The post-holder will also play a key role in shaping, delivering and monitoring the tutorial programme, ensuring that content reflects learner needs, addresses current societal issues, encourages ambition, builds essential life and career skills, and promotes wellbeing and enjoyment. Working collaboratively within the SGSPLUS team, the coordinator will help develop a diverse range of opportunities, from guest speakers to trips and socials, that enrich learner experience and positively influence College culture. Additionally, the successful applicant will contribute to the Voice of the Learner processes and build constructive working relationships with curriculum areas to embed consistent, impactful personal and social development opportunities. An understanding of contemporary societal challenges will be advantageous in ensuring content remains relevant and meaningful. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to support movement between campuses as required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the holistic development of learners and committed to delivering memorable, high-quality experiences that prepare learners for life.
