Overview
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturer within the waste management sector, who is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their production team. This is a hands-on role based in their facility, focused on building new refuse collection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools, a basic understanding of fixings and fasteners, and must supply their own hand tools (e.g., spanners, sockets).
Responsibilities
* Assemble new HGV equipment to specification
* Fit and secure mechanical and hydraulic components
* Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
* Use hand and power tools to complete builds accurately
* Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards
* Assist with installation of electrical wiring and lighting systems (if applicable)
* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
* Report faults or issues to supervisors
* Maintain a clean and safe work area
* Adhere to health and safety policies
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist with stock control and inventory of parts and tools
