Management Accountant
to work in partnership with the finance team and the Finance Business Partner (FBP) to provide management accounting support for areas of responsibility, providing stakeholders with insightful analysis to aid decision making. Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Role Responsibilities: Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, ensuring income and liabilities are correctly recorded and reconciled Complete month-end close tasks within published timelines, including, but not limited to:
Process journals (accruals/prepayments) and maintain detailed and auditable supporting documentation Review GL postings and raise relevant corrections Investigate and resolve queries relating to variances Balance sheet reconciliations with explanations on year-on-year and month-on-month movements and balances, supported by detailed breakdowns
Develop robust annual budgets and forecasts, analysing key drivers, including but not limited to: student numbers, payroll/FTE, and non-pay driver Assist with audits, providing documentation and responding to auditor queries Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis when required Build and maintain effective relationships across the Finance team and with departments within your remit and work with colleagues to continuously improve data quality and reports in the system Deputise for the Finance Business Partner when required Essential Skills and Experience: Currently studying towards or has obtained an accounting certification A strong working knowledge of finance, including month end processes, budgeting and forecasting Flexible with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload Self-starter and positive attitude Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience of using ERP systems Dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications Strong planning and problem-solving skills Ability to analyse information and processes Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships What we offer: Time off that fits your lifestyle
