I C Talent is proud to be working with a well-established secondary school on the outskirts of Peterborough to recruit an enthusiastic and creative Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Music specialist to join a supportive school community and inspire students through engaging and dynamic lessons.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 for a suitably experienced candidate. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering creativity, confidence, and performance skills, both within the classroom and through extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire and challenge
* Teach practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum
* Prepare students for GCSE (and A Level if applicable) assessments
* Support and contribute to extracurricular music activities, performances, and school events
* Monitor and assess student progress effectively
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and participation
* Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and musical ability
* Be confident delivering both practical and theory-based lessons
* Have excellent classroom management skills
* Be enthusiastic, creative, and committed to student development
