Lighting Technician – St Albans
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Lighting Technician to join a busy warehouse operations team in St Albans. In this role, you will prepare, maintain, and test lighting equipment used for events and productions. In addition, you will support warehouse operations and occasionally attend on-site jobs when required. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for someone with lighting and event experience seeking long-term career progression.
Location: St Albans
Salary: Competitive salary with permanent salary up to £35, per annum after a temporary period
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities
1. Assemble, maintain, and test lighting equipment and fixtures
2. Inspect lighting stock and report any faults or damage
3. Prepare and pack lighting equipment for events and productions
4. Ensure all equipment is stored safely and correctly
5. Support technical and production teams with event requirements
6. Follow all warehouse health and safety procedures
7. Assist with occasional on-site work when required
8. Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and efficient
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Previous experience as a Lighting Technician within a warehouse or event environment
10. Good knowledge of lighting equipment and maintenance procedures
11. Ability to work accurately within a busy warehouse setting
12. Strong communication and teamwork skills
13. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
14. Good attention to detail and focus on safety
15. Reliable and hard-working attitude
