Role Description - 6 Months - Hybrid - Outside IR35
This is a contract role for an Infrastructure Engineer located in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, with opportunities to work from home. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for
* Server Migration & Upgrades
* Experience with Nutanix and VMware Hypervisor platforms.
* Managing a hypervisor migration to Nutanix.
* Endpoint Management
* Administration of M365, Intune, Autopilot and Entra ID
* Device provisioning, policy management, troubleshooting sync/auth issues
* Implementation of network segmentation concepts e.g. vLANs
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
* Support to other IT teams
* Mentoring and support of junior team members
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure management and System Administration
* Proven experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware / Nutanix)
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server Migrations and Upgrades
* Experience with implementing and maintaining Network Security
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
* Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, NCA, NCP, CCNA, or similar qualifications are advantageous
* Previous experience in hybrid cloud and enterprise IT environments will be preferred
