Job Opportunity: Residential Caretaker & Maintenance Operative (NW10)Location: Private Residential DevelopmentHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pmSalary: £35,000 per annumStart: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Caretaker to support a residential development. This is a great opportunity for someone with a friendly, proactive approach who takes pride in keeping their environment clean, safe, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a warm, courteous presence for residents, visitors, and contractors
* Monitor site access and challenge unauthorised individuals when necessary
* Log and report any maintenance issues or building defects to management
* Carry out light maintenance tasks (e.g., bulb changes, painting and decorating)
* Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and routine lighting inspections
* Ensure communal areas are tidy and free of obstructions at all times
* Manage contractor access and sign-in procedures
* Check and distribute notices, and communications as required
* Keep resident notice boards up to date and presentable
* Maintain drains, gutters, and surrounding property cleanliness
* Use a company-provided phone to respond to resident queries during working hours
Ideal Candidate:
* Presentable, professional, and customer-service focused
* Confident managing site access and dealing with residents/contractors
* Basic handyman/maintenance skills (DIY, light repairs, etc.)
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Prior experience in a residential or similar caretaking role is desirable
