About the Role:
* Job Type: Temporary/supply position, with potential for long-term or permanent opportunities
* Location: Primary school in Middlesbrough
* Hours: Full-time (part-time may be considered) – term-time only
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
* Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
* Monitor and support pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Work collaboratively with the wider staff team, including TAs and subject leads
* Maintain effective behaviour management and classroom routines
* Uphold school policies, with a strong focus on safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2
* Up-to-date knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment strategies
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
* A flexible and professional approach to teaching
