The role
As a Driver, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will perform driving duties in compliance with Road Traffic Legislation, Transport Law, and Service Publications. Operate within a 24/7 Mechanical Transport department, supporting on-base duty tasks through a rotational shift system and delivering a comprehensive transport service to the customer.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks in accordance with specified standards and operational requirements
2. Ensure all driver and vehicle documentation is accurately completed in line with relevant transport service publications
3. Maintain compliance with safety, legal, and operational guidelines for fleet readiness
4. Report any vehicle defects or discrepancies promptly to support efficient maintenance and service continuity.
This role is full time working 38.5 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Northolt, Greater London.
Essential experience of the Driver:
HGV/Coach driving experience.
Qualifications for the Driver:
5. Possess a full, clean UK driving licence with entitlement for categories B, C, and D
6. Hold a DVSA Category D licence with no more than three active penalty points
7. Certified with a valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC), including LGV and PSV credentials.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
