We are currently seeking Grounds Operatives to join our clients team in Northampton. This essential role involves maintaining cemetery grounds to ensure they are tidy, well-kept, and a respectful environment for visitors and loved ones. Cemetery Operatives play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the cemetery, demonstrating professionalism, dignity, and environmental care in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities for Grounds Operatives
* Perform general maintenance of cemetery grounds, ensuring a clean and well-maintained appearance.
* Support grave digging and excavating activities as required.
* Assist in the upkeep of pathways, green spaces, and communal areas within the cemetery.
* Maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards visitors and the environment.
* Handle cemetery tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements for Grounds Operatives
1. Previous experience in cemetery work, including grave digging and excavation, is highly desirable but not essential.
2. Applicants with experience in grounds maintenance and a willingness to be trained for the role will also be considered.
