UEFA EURO 2028 is taking place across the UK & Ireland where Europe's top 24 national teams will compete in a 31-day, 51 match tournament, attended by over 3 million spectators and with a global tv audience of upwards of 2 billion people. As one of the world's largest and highest-profile sporting events, UEFA EURO 2028 will attract the attention of the sporting and major event communities, the media, and the public at large across the UK& Ireland, Europe and the World. With its unique hosting model, the event promises to spread the impacts and benefits of the tournament across the nations and communities of the UK and Ireland The Organisation UK & Ireland 2028 Limited has been set up as a new company to locally deliver several UEFA requirements for the tournament, working closely with UEFA, 9 Host Stadiums, 8 Host Cities and other key stakeholders. The Role The Safety & Security department at UK & Ireland 2028 Ltd is responsible for ensuring the development, coordination and delivery of a safe and secure UEFA Euro 2028 tournament across all official sites – including stadiums, team hotels, training grounds, transport hubs and fan zones. The department plays a critical role in protecting the integrity and smooth delivery of the tournament, while contributing to a world-class event experience for teams, staff, supporters and local communities. As Security Operations Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our Safety & Security function — supporting the delivery of one of the most high-profile sporting tournaments in the world. From managing travel and logistics for the team to coordinating working groups and helping deliver milestone events, this is a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth, safe and well-run tournament. You’ll provide central coordination support across the security team — planning, tracking, communicating and delivering administrative and operational support that enables excellence across the board. This role is perfect for someone highly organised, collaborative and passionate about major events and public safety. What will you be doing? Acting as a central point of contact for the Security team and supporting internal and external stakeholder communications. Coordinating logistics for meetings, site visits, working groups and events — including travel, accommodation, venues, agendas and follow-ups. Supporting the delivery of project plans and team milestones across the tournament timeline. Helping manage finance processes like raising purchase orders, tracking invoices, and budget reporting. Producing accurate reports, documentation and presentation materials that support the work of the Director of Safety What are we looking for? Knowledge & Experience Proven experience in delivering high-quality administrative support within evolving/agile environments. Proficiency in core MS Office software (PPT, Excel and Word) Able to deliver high-quality written reports Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, professional written documentation, reports and presentations. High level of attention to detail Proven experience in delivering high-quality administrative support within evolving/agile environments. Experience of providing admin support in regard to financial processes, eg raising purchase orders/managing invoices. Experience working with sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement. Exposure to project coordination or support, with a working knowledge of project lifecycles and key delivery milestones. Where is the role based? Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations. As an event delivery organisation, we believe in the power of collaboration and connection. That’s why we currently work from HQ at least two days a week. From 2026, this will increase to three to four days a week, and during the tournament year (2028), full-time onsite working will be required.
