Corporate Tax Compliance, Managed Services - Manager
A key focus for KPMG's GCT team is to help multinational groups and financial services clients manage their global tax compliance, reporting, and statutory accounting obligations through outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation, and technology. Our Corporate Tax Compliance business comprises a dedicated team of specialists working with our technology platform and advisory teams to provide excellent service to a diverse client base, including global and large domestic compliance clients with complex tax profiles. We are growing rapidly, making this an exciting time to join us.
We are seeking talented Managers with good UK Corporate Tax Compliance experience who can build strong relationships, develop junior staff, and deliver excellent client service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring tax computations are prepared accurately, timely, and submitted to HMRC within deadlines.
2. Keep clients informed about developments in Corporate Tax, including new legislation implications.
3. Oversee junior colleagues' work, providing coaching and technical guidance.
4. Identify and resolve complex technical issues, reviewing analysis and involving specialists as needed.
5. Respond to ad hoc technical advice requests and coordinate with KPMG specialists to deliver comprehensive service.
6. Build positive relationships within your team, across KPMG, and with clients.
7. Support clients with group reporting and tax audit work.
8. Manage team operations and performance, including coaching and career management.
9. Follow KPMG best practices and policies.
10. Enhance KPMG's reputation through quality work, knowledge, and experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Strong UK Corporation Tax experience, including reviewing computations and acting as a client liaison.
2. Knowledge of tax accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS desirable).
3. Ability to analyze problems and demonstrate curiosity about new ideas and approaches.
4. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
5. Responsibility and accountability for own work.
6. High drive, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
7. Strong teamwork and organizational skills, including managing timelines and budgets.

* Data Management: Help clients utilize organizational data effectively, including deploying automation solutions and working with technologies like Azure data lakes.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
At Manager level, strong communication skills, initiative, and financial management are essential. Candidates should be resilient, flexible, experienced in developing others, and capable of engaging confidently with clients.
We welcome applications from qualified professionals (ATT, CTA, ACA, or equivalent), with project management and transformation skills (e.g., Lean Six Sigma). Specific requirements include:
* BEPs: Technical tax skills and Pillar 2 awareness, capable of articulating compliance and transformation impacts.
* Managed Services: Experience leading large-scale tax, accounting, and compliance projects, with skills in tax reporting, transfer pricing, and managing multi-jurisdictional projects.
* Technology Transformation: Experience with technology projects, ERP, tax tech solutions, and related certifications.
* Tax Operating Model: Broad experience in designing and managing tax operating models, compliance, and reporting services.
* Data Management: Experience in deploying automation solutions, working with data technologies like Azure, and understanding statutory and tax data processes.
