Service Engineer - Rail Vehicles & Equipment
* Permanent full-time position
* Enhanced overtime available, allowing engineers to increase overall earnings

Responsibilities
* Maintain a specialist fleet of rail vehicles and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
* Diagnose and repair faults on-site and across the wider UK rail network, using detailed schematics and control diagrams.
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault rectification, ensuring root causes are addressed to prevent recurrence.
* Work within depot-based activities, live rail infrastructure, and outdoor locations in all weather conditions.
* Participate in a shared standby or on-call rota, providing technical support outside normal working hours.
* Record and report defects accurately, and communicate clearly with engineering teams and supervisors.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
* Proven experience in a service, maintenance, or field engineering environment.
* Experience within rail, heavy plant, fleet, or similar industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential for engineers with transferable skills.
* A full UK driving licence.
