Salary: £13.64 -£14.64 per hour
Hours: 23.25 per week

We're looking for an enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Pontypool, where your skills and kindness will help shape a warm, respectful, and empowering environment for our residents.
Your Role & Impact
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital leadership role-supporting the wellbeing of our residents while guiding and mentoring junior team members. Working closely with our management team, you'll ensure each individual receives personalised, high-quality care with dignity, empathy, and respect.
What You'll Do
* Support residents with personal care, mobility, and emotional needs
* Lead shifts confidently and provide hands-on guidance to colleagues
* Contribute to and review person-centred care plans
* Carry out and update risk assessments
* Administer medication safely and accurately
* Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care
* Maintain clear documentation and uphold safeguarding practices
* Promote choice, independence, and dignity in all aspects of care
What We're Looking For
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
* NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to achieve it)
* Experience supporting older adults in a care setting
* Leadership skills and experience running a shift
* Medication administration training and confidence in safe practice
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Up-to-date Manual Handling and First Aid training
* A calm, patient, and practical approach
