Reporting to the Cluster Engineering Manager, this role will play a huge part in delivering reliable performance for the Heywood plant, through effective and organised preventative work, PM and routine maintenance tasks.
This role would suit a multi-skilled engineer, looking to take the next step in their career!
What you’ll do:
1. The primary function of this role is to ensure Engineering Legal compliance at site as well as hands on Engineering on the shop floor.
2. The individual will work closely with all departments to ensure that adequate planning and preparation is completed ahead of engineering outages, so the production team may work in the most efficient manner
3. Attend and contribute to regular meetings with the Operations Team,
4. Document and address day to day issues utilising SAP PM
5. Work with the Cluster Engineering Manager to ensure planned maintenance is adequately resourced.
6. Develop/deliver routine maintenance schedules.
7. Ensure POWRA’s are completed properly, and actions taken.
8. Completion of permits and other safety paperwork to a high standard
9. Liaise with the training department to ensure skills and competencies are met.
What you’ll bring:
10. Demonstratable, extensive experience as a multiskilled engineer with a manufacturing environment
11. NVQ L3 or equivalent
12. The ability to work on own initiative, and make key decisions
