The Opportunity and Company

Our client, a leader in the field of Transport and Logistics, has a short-term opportunity to join their payroll team based in Newtownabbey. The successful applicant will be responsible for the processing of weekly and monthly payroll in Sage 50 Payroll, providing internal payroll reporting, and completing month-end procedures.

The ideal applicant will have at least two years of prior experience in a payroll processing position and experience using Sage 50 Payroll. Moreover, the candidate will have experience in the use of Excel at an advanced level and be highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and validate payroll data submitted by group entities.
2. Accurately process both weekly and monthly payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll, including pension administration and resolving employee payroll queries.
3. Ensure all payroll procedures are followed in accordance with group compliance standards.
4. Carry out payroll runs on a weekly and monthly basis.
5. Generate internal payroll reports for management and analysis.
6. Upload pension contributions to the relevant providers.
7. Complete month-end payroll tasks and reconciliations.

Criteria

8. At least 1 year of hands-on experience using Sage 50 Payroll.
9. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced-level skills essential.
10. Solid understanding of Sage payroll systems.
11. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
12. Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail in previous roles.
13. Able to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
14. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
15. Committed to maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive data appropriately.
16. Minimum of 2 year's experience in payroll processing.
