Working in Day Services
Working in Day Services means making a real difference every day. You’ll be part of a supportive team helping people live fulfilled, meaningful lives through engaging activities, personalised support, and compassionate care. No two days are the same — you’ll build relationships, promote independence, and create opportunities that truly matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to ensuring high‑quality care and support for individuals attending the day service. You’ll lead on developing and monitoring person‑centred care plans, coordinate referrals and transitions, oversee staff rotas, and provide day‑to‑day supervision to the care team. You’ll also ensure accurate and thorough record‑keeping, support safe practice, respond to complex or urgent situations, and work closely with families, health partners, and social care professionals to deliver joined‑up support.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone compassionate, proactive, and confident in supporting individuals with a wide range of care and support needs. You’ll bring experience in personal care, medication administration, and leading or supervising staff. A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent experience) is essential, along with strong written skills for care planning and record‑keeping. You’ll understand safe use of equipment, safeguarding responsibilities, and how to respond calmly to challenging or complex situations. Above all, you communicate with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
Why Join Us
You’ll be part of a service that genuinely values people — those who use our support and those who provide it. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and professional judgement are welcomed, and where ongoing development, training, and career progression are encouraged. Every day brings the chance to improve someone’s quality of life, be creative, and contribute to a service that is constantly evolving to meet people’s needs.
