The People Services Partner will operate as a key member of the UK Human Resources team, providing comprehensive HR operational support to HR Business Partners and Business Managers across designated business lines in a scientific and technical environment.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRIS, and People Development to deliver expert HR generalist support.
* Provide professional, confidential HR guidance to managers on people challenges and employee relations.
* Act as a primary contact for employees regarding performance, career progression, development, and compensation-related queries.
* Use data analysis to improve processes and support strategic workforce planning.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies; own policy reviews and updates as assigned.
* Mentor the People Services Admin Team to maintain documented processes, meet SLAs, and foster continuous improvement.
* Support annual HR cycles such as performance management, talent reviews, and compensation planning.
* Lead or participate in HR projects, audits, reporting, system improvements, and regulatory initiatives.
* Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across HR practices.
* Model Viridien’s core values and behaviours in all interactions.
Qualifications
* Ability to show empathy and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
* Experience managing HR cases across diverse business lines and with senior stakeholders.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently.
* Data-driven with experience in analysis and corrective action planning.
* Experience in compensation management and working with market data.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
* Senior-level experience as an HR Advisor or Generalist; familiarity with job architecture frameworks.
* Proficient in HR systems and tools; experience with process automation and improvement.
* Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, advanced formulas).
Preferred
* CIPD qualification or currently working toward accreditation.

* Proven relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Adaptable, discreet, and able to manage confidential information.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently; committed to continuous learning.
