Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to be based in London. This contract role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a managerial position within the utilities industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and managing the Quantity Surveying team effectively
2. Overseeing contract management, including NEC contracts
3. Handling lump sum, target costs, cash flow, and CVRs
4. Ensuring accurate preparation and management of budgets
5. Reporting directly to senior leadership
6. Collaborating closely with Thames Water and other stakeholders
7. Managing and monitoring project progress and costs
8. Providing strategic direction and support to the team
Job Requirements:
9. Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within the civil and water sectors
10. Proficient in NEC contract management
11. Experience with lump sum, target costs, cash flow, and CVRs
12. Strong budget management skills
13. Proven team management and leadership abilities
14. Excellent communication and reporting skills
15. Ability to work primarily from the office, with limited remote working
16. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or civil engineering
