The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will provide high-quality, autonomous, and advanced clinical care to patients. The role combines expert nursing practice with advanced assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills to ensure safe and effective patient management. The ANP will work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to service development and quality improvement. Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic investigations. Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice. Prescribe medications, manage treatments, and refer to other healthcare professionals as required. Make autonomous clinical decisions while ensuring adherence to local protocols and national guidelines. Provide advanced clinical interventions, including minor procedures where qualified. Leadership and Education Act as a clinical leader within the team, mentoring junior staff and nursing students. Contribute to continuing professional development programs and educational initiatives. Support service development, quality improvement projects, and audit activities. Communication and Collaboration Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, providing information and support. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards. Governance and Professional Development Ensure compliance with NMC standards, local policies, and professional guidelines. Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through reflective practice and CPD. Participate in clinical audit and service evaluation to support evidence-based practice.
