Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for full-time Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and highly supportive specialist school in Totton, with opportunities available across both the primary and secondary sites . The school provides education for children and young people aged 2–19 years with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties . Many pupils also have additional needs including Autism, Down Syndrome, SEMH needs and physical disabilities . What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Helping students access learning in a way that suits their individual needs Encouraging communication, confidence and independence Working closely with experienced teachers and support staff Creating positive relationships that have a real impact on young people’s lives What We’re Looking For: Previous SEN or SEMH experience is essential Experience in schools, care, youth work or support work is highly desirable A positive, resilient and nurturing attitude Someone reliable and committed to working full time Individuals who want to build a meaningful career supporting young people The Details: Totton Full-time, Monday–Friday £14.25 per hour Whether you already have school-based experience or come from a care or support background, this could be the perfect next step if you’re looking for a role that is both challenging and hugely rewarding.
