Position Details
Band 3 Pro-rata (as And When Required)
Daytime availability is essential; pay rates are as follows:
1. Daytime (6am to 8pm): minimum 2 hours paid for face-to-face and video interpretation; telephone interpretation minimum 30 mins.
2. Out of Office Hours (8pm to 6am) and weekends: minimum 1 hour paid for face-to-face and video; telephone interpretation minimum 30 mins at an enhanced rate.
Plus mileage and parking are paid from the nearest hospital to the location, excluding home to base mileage and parking for the first appointment.

Role Overview
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust aims to update its Bank of Interpreters with a variety of languages to support hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, and Salford. The service operates daily, including out of hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Full daytime availability is required to be shortlisted.
Languages Required
All languages are needed, including Albanian, Tigrinya, Korean, Vietnamese, Kurdish, Somali, Amharic, Nepalese, Romanian, Oromo, Bambara, Wolof, Benin, Edo, Yoruba, Burmese, Bravanese/Brava, Zaghawa, Luganda, Tagalog/Filipino, Twi, Shona, Telugu, Thai, Fula, Chichewa.
Responsibilities
You will provide a confidential, efficient, and effective interpreting service to health professionals and patients in hospital and community settings on a sessional basis, according to the required times (daytime or out of hours/weekends).
Availability for induction and training is required. An interpreting qualification and experience in a hospital setting are essential. Knowledge of IT systems such as MS Teams and Accurx Flemming is also necessary.
