Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of daily operations while ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to supervise staff effectively.
Duties
* Assist in the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to residents, including medication administration and personal care.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, promoting their well-being and dignity.
* Foster a positive environment for both residents and staff, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly.
* Provide leadership during shifts, ensuring that all operational tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
* Engage with families and external stakeholders to promote transparency and collaboration in resident care.
Experience
* Proven experience in a management/supervisory role within a care home or similar environment is essential.
* Strong background in medication administration and knowledge of care standards in assisted living or nursing homes.
* Experience working with individuals with dementia or other complex needs is advantageous.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of resident care are managed effectively.
* A compassionate approach to care, demonstrating empathy towards residents and their families.
Qualifications
* A minimum of NVQ 3 in Health and Social is required
