Job Title: Part-Time Building Surveyor
Location: Newport
Salary: Up to £26,500
Hours: 24 hours per week
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the condition of buildings, identifying defects, and providing expert advice on maintenance, repairs, and compliance with building regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct building inspections and surveys to assess and identify defects.
* Prepare detailed reports, including recommendations for repairs, renovations, and maintenance.
* Advise clients on building safety, regulatory compliance, and construction standards.
* Assist with planning applications, building regulations, and leasehold matters.
* Provide cost estimates for repairs and refurbishment projects.
* Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
* Keep up to date with changes in building legislation and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience of building inspections and preparing reports.
* Knowledge/Understanding of UK building regulations and construction standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
* Proficiency in survey software and Microsoft Office applications.
