Job Title: Technical Assistant

Reference: N Northamptonshire RQ1633388

Pay rate: £15.06 per hour PAYE

Role length: Anticipated 6 months

Additional requirement: Driving Licence


The role

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join the team. You will need to be a team player and able to demonstrate that you are able to work in a highly pressured environment often working to strict deadlines. Experience of dealing with Building Control, Planning and Land Charges would be an advantage.


Key responsibilities

* Ensure accurate, professional and timely case management service to our customers across a range of service areas and activities
* Undertake casework that requires an understanding of relevant service processes, regulations and legislation
* Deliver excellent customer service
* Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained, and data protection (GDPR) rules are followed
* Promote and support Customer Self Service
* Identify improvements in customer and service provision


What the client is looking for

* Experience working in a construction related administrative role, or equivalent demonstrable experience and knowledge
* A strong customer focus coupled with strong interpersonal skills
* A positive “can do” attitude to help deliver the highest standards of service to our customers
* Attention to detail, with excellent levels of accuracy and analytical approach
* Experience of using the Office 365 package, as well as Outlook and Teams
* Experience of Building Regulations application types and administrative processes – knowledge of the Building Regulations 2010 and Building Act 1984 as well as associated legislation is highly desirable, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience of dealing with Building Control, Planning and Land Charges would also be an advantage
