Overview
Duration: 03 months (Initially three months, with the potential for converting to a FTE based on business need, budget approval and performance)
Shift: 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm)
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Responsibilities
* Monitor functions of equipment and operate per documented procedures including maintaining operational logbooks
* Provide technicians with symptoms of equipment failures, when required
* Support material handling as necessary
* Maintain segregation of materials and lot and/or receiving numbers
* Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition
* Adhere to and demonstrate compliance to all company and department standard operating procedures including but not limited to: GMP, device history record, hazard communication and safety rules
* Utilize written procedures and training to accomplish tasks noted above
* Accept full accountability for product quality
* Report to supervisor or management unsolved problems encountered during the workday
* Maintain complete and accurate records of work-in-progress, component inventories and relative documentation
* Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing equipment according to established specifications, and standard operating procedures and work instructions
* An operator must demonstrate steady progress in learning all equipment and jobs in the assigned manufacturing area
* Follow instructions of supervisor while observing the quality of raw and finished goods before, during and after production
Qualifications
* Manufacturing experience mandatory (1-2 years)
* High school diploma or GED required
* Candidates with bachelor's or master's degrees are often overqualified and may not stay long-term
* Prefers candidates with manufacturing experience but open to hiring recent high school graduates
* Avoids candidates with a history of frequent job changes
* Experience in similar bottling operations (e.g., Coca-Cola, Pepsi) beneficial
* Temp-to-hire with a 90-day contract before potential full-time employment
* Must be able to stand to package and label product
* Safety shoes required for job (steel or composite)
* Must adhere to shift start times and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
Additional Information
* Candidate will not be responsible to run or operate the production line; will support the production line and material handling
* Does not require forklift or power jack usage
* Lifting/moving/carrying up to 20 pounds
* Closed production line environment; no contact with hazardous materials or chemicals
* Safety gear provided; candidate must provide appropriate shoes/boots
