Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic Radiology Fellows (3) to join the team of existing Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologists working cross-site to provide a complete spectrum of general and specialist MSK, Trauma, and Sarcoma Radiology services both locally and nationally. The post will contribute to the provision and development of these services in conjunction with Radiology and clinical colleagues. Based jointly between the Radiology Department at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Headley Way, Oxford OX3 9DU, and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford OX3 7HE.
The purpose of this post is to provide broad post-CCT training experience in musculoskeletal radiology. The fellow will be expected to: i) work with the consultants and SpRs to fulfil the clinical obligations of the department, ii) participate in research projects, iii) participate in formal and informal teaching.
Responsibilities
* Work with the consultants and Specialist Registrars to fulfil the clinical obligations of the department.
* Participate in research projects.
* Participate in formal and informal teaching.
* Keep up-to-date with relevant areas of practice.
* Participate in the teaching of Specialist Registrars and occasionally other medical and non-medical personnel.
* Operate within the Trust’s management procedures, both statutory and internal, accepting that the resources available to the Trust are finite and that all clinical practice or workload, or developments requiring additional resources must have prior agreement with the Trust.
* Undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of the department under the direction of the Clinical Director.
Qualifications
The post-holder will be required to work within the Trust’s management procedures, both statutory and internal, accepting that the resources available to the Trust are finite and that all clinical practice or workload, or developments requiring additional resources must have prior agreement with the Trust. He/she will undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients, and the running of his/her department under the direction of the Clinical Director.
