We are supporting Medica, one of the UK’s leading providers of teleradiology and diagnostic reporting services, as they strengthen their commercial team with a key hire focused on Scotland.
Medica works in partnership with NHS and independent healthcare providers to deliver specialist diagnostic services that improve capacity, patient access and operational efficiency across the healthcare system.
As part of the continued development of the commercial function, the organisation is looking to appoint an Account Manager to take ownership of key relationships across NHS Scotland.
This is a high impact role focused on managing a small number of strategic accounts, supporting contract transitions and driving long term partnership growth.
The role
The Account Manager will be responsible for leading relationships across a defined group of NHS Scotland Health Boards, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted partner.
The role will combine account management, commercial development and contract transition, particularly following recent market activity and acquisition integration.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Building and maintaining strong relationships across NHS Scotland Health Boards, including clinical, operational and procurement stakeholders
* Managing and developing existing partnerships, ensuring high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction
* Supporting the transition and harmonisation of contracts, working closely with clients to communicate value and future service models
* Identifying opportunities to increase service utilisation and expand existing agreements
* Acting as the link between customers and internal clinical, operational and commercial teams
* Contributing to the development of tailored commercial approaches for the Scottish market
Candidate profile
We are interested in individuals who combine strong relationship management capability with commercial awareness and the ability to operate in a complex healthcare environment.
Given the nature of the market, there is a strong preference for candidates with experience in radiology or a radiography background, particularly those who have developed commercial or client facing experience.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
* Radiographers with commercial, account management or service delivery experience
* Healthcare account management within diagnostics, medical devices or healthcare services
* NHS facing roles with strong stakeholder engagement and commercial exposure
Candidates should demonstrate:
* Strong understanding of NHS Scotland and Health Board structures
* Ability to build credibility with clinical and operational stakeholders
* A proactive, energetic and solutions focused approach
* Commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities within accounts
