Overview
Senior Events Marketing Executive in EMAP City of London, England, United Kingdom. Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing a digital and offline marketing strategy to support the events business. Work with the Senior Events Marketing Manager, Group Head of Marketing, and other stakeholders to use offline, online, telesales, and social channels to generate interest, engagement, and ensure entries and delegate numbers are met. Capture data and generate new prospects for the portfolio of market-leading conferences and awards events. Demonstrates a deep understanding of social media channels, SEM/PPC, email marketing, and other relevant channels while also using offline marketing channels.
Responsibilities
* Deliver world-class, brand-enhancing marketing communications programmes that increase event delegate numbers and revenues and enrich customer relationships.
* Plan and implement effective multi-media campaigns to generate awareness, interest, desire, and action in targeted segments.
* Track and measure marketing activity to enable dynamic investment based on analysis of current and past performance.
* Develop and utilise the customer database, including data builds, usage, and analytics, to support marketing strategies and improve targeting and conversion rates.
* Create compelling, needs-based campaigns that articulate the value of our brands within brand guidelines.
* Work within agreed customer metrics and KPIs (opens, clicks, CPR, CPA, etc.).
* Coordinate activity across multiple channels including email, web, print, events, PPC and social media to ensure message consistency.
* Measure and review performance against ROI and KPI criteria to increase lead generation, conversion, and retention rates.
* Use market intelligence and customer insight to increase understanding of audiences and effectiveness of campaigns.
* Collaborate with data and digital teams to maximise sales effectiveness and create consistent campaign messages across contact points.
* Share learnings and insights to drive performance.
* Work as a team to achieve individual and group targets and align with priorities.
* Contribute to team knowledge and growth targets to drive operational excellence.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practice and comply with legal and ethical guidelines required by EMAP/TRG (DP and privacy, competition law, ASA, trading standards, etc.).
Qualifications and experience
* Proven track record in events marketing, campaign management and digital marketing.
* Degree or equivalent marketing diploma.
* Strong understanding of online audience behaviors and changing trends.
* Experience developing and managing strategic plans and budgets.
* Experience updating websites and SEO knowledge.
* Knowledge of social media marketing and PPC.

* Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Web analytics and social media scheduling/analytics tools

* CRMs and ESPs
