Overview
Astute's Power team looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on an OCGT Power Station on a 3/6-month contract basis for its plant in Birmingham from November 2025.
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician role comes with a day rate of between £(Apply online only) per day (Inside IR35).
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical assets such as pumps, gearboxes, valves, gas turbines etc
* Work in line with maintenance techniques and practises
* Assisting in plant developments
* Involved in continuous improvement activities, plant inspections and fault investigation work.
* Liaise with the operations team to ensure plant availability.
Qualifications
* Ideally C&G/NVQ Level 3 minimum in Engineering or Apprentice qualified - Mechanically biased
* Prior experience within heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations (EfW, Biomass, OCGT/CCGT, CHP)
* Must be familiar with pumps, valves, piping and rotating equipment.
