We’re looking for a Production Manager for our Three Bridges depot in Crawley. Our Production Managers need to be confident operating in complex environments, with the ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
* Being responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Train Service Agreement to the customer, ensuring the on-time maintenance of rolling stock undertaken and controlled by teams of Supervisors and Technicians.
* Being responsible for the planning, preparation and operating performance of the maintenance schedules.
* Understand customer requirements, continuous improvement plans and develop good relationships with customers by ensuring consistent delivery of targets and dealing with escalations promptly.
* Communicating health and safety responsibilities to your team and ensure employees raise issues.
* Keeping Employee safety and wellbeing at the forefront of your team management activities and developing a high-performance culture with strong employee engagement using the Siemens People Management policies and tools.
* Enable the growth and development of individuals, championing their development and enabling them to develop using the "Own your Career" strategy.
Your Success will be grounded by
* Management or supervisory experience in a technical position
* Technical knowledge of Rolling Stock maintenance
* Procedures/practices engineering ONC or equivalent qualification or experience
* Good knowledge of IT systems/software
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Strong organisation/planning skills
* Full UK Driving License (essential)
It would be advantageous to have
* Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
* Good understanding of Health, Safety, and environment legislation/procedures; Basic understanding of project management principles
* Contract/Commercial knowledge
