JOB TITLE: Head of Social and Supported Housing - Business and Commercial Banking
LOCATIONS: Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Newport, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About This Opportunity
We’re playing a leading role in addressing the crisis in social housing. We’ve partnered with Crisis, calling for 1 million additional social rent homes over a decade. We aim to support specialist and supported housing providers, who serve society’s most in need. Last year, we committed an additional £200m in funding, and recently launched a partnership with The Royal Foundation to tackle homelessness.
To advance these efforts, we’re introducing a new role within our Business and Commercial Bank: Head of Social & Supported Housing. You’ll work in our National Real Estate & Housing team, shaping strategy and leading impactful initiatives. You’ll be a key member of our leadership team, helping direct our housing support future.
You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to ensure our Social Housing Initiative, led from the CEO’s office, delivers on its goals.
Responsibilities
* Develop customer origination strategies, becoming the preferred banking professional in the social and supported housing community.
* Collaborate with credit risk and finance teams to evolve our product offerings, aiming to become the leading bank in this sector.
* Promote the Bank within the professional community, treasury advisors, and influencers to develop new business opportunities.
* Position the Bank as a leader in supported and specialist housing, planning and executing events like networking sessions, seminars, and trade shows.

What You’ll Need
* Understanding of housing demand, funding structures, and key public/private sector partners.
* Ability to manage professional relationships and expand business through non-paid introducers.
* Expertise in evaluating complex solutions aligned with business strategies.
* Experience managing significant customer accounts or leading advisory teams.
* Data analysis skills to identify trends and impacts.
