Homeless Support Officer (Nights) – 2 Vacancies Location: Rhyl (Crescent Court & Bruton Park) Salary: £27,020 per annum Hours: 37 per week | Nights (8:30pm – 8:30am) Shifts: Rota including alternate weekends Closing Date: 11 May 2026 Make a real difference where it matters most At ClwydAlyn, we’re on a mission: Together to Beat Poverty. As a Homeless Support Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people and families experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and move towards independence. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two nights are the same. You’ll be a consistent, supportive presence—helping residents feel safe, valued, and empowered. What you’ll be doing Building positive, trusting relationships with residents Supporting people to develop independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, tenancy management) Encouraging access to education, volunteering, apprenticeships, and employment Helping residents connect with key services (healthcare, mental health, benefits, substance misuse support) Creating a safe, calm and supportive environment overnight Keeping accurate records using IT systems About the services Crescent Court: Supports young people (16–25) experiencing homelessness Bruton Park: Supports parents and their children to build stable, independent futures What we’re looking for You don’t need to have done this exact job before—but you do need the right mindset. Empathy and a genuine understanding of people facing homelessness Resilience and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations Strong communication and relationship-building skills A proactive, self-motivated approach Basic IT skills (training provided on systems) Relevant experience or qualifications in housing, social care, or youth work are helpful—but not essential.
