The Best Connection are recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for our client in Darlington, a leading kitchen production and distribution company. This is an exciting role for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver. You must be available for induction 15/06.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out HGV Class 1 (C+E) tramping duties across the UK.
* Deliver kitchen products to distribution centres, commercial premises, construction sites, and customer locations in a double decker trailer.
* Safely unload products at delivery points.
* Use a PDA to scan, record, and complete deliveries, ensuring proof of delivery is obtained.
* Complete all transport paperwork accurately.
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
* Comply with drivers' hours regulations, road transport legislation, and health and safety procedures.
* Always maintain a professional and customer focused approach.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations and transport compliance.
* Ability to work away from home as part of tramping duties.
* Previous Class 1 experience preferred, although less experienced drivers may be considered.
Working Hours
* Start times from 04:00 AM.
* Tramping work with overnight stays required.
Pay Rates
* Monday to Friday: £15.98 per hour
* Overtime (after 10 hours): £23.97 per hour
* Saturday: £23.97 per hour
* Sunday & Bank Holidays: £31.96 per hour
* Night Out Allowance: £26.20 per night
