We are seeking a passionate and skilled chef to join an exceptional country house hospitality team, working alongside the Executive Head Chef to deliver memorable culinary experiences rooted in high-quality, seasonal produce. Set within a celebrated countryside destination combining elegant dining, relaxed pub service, private dining and events, this role offers the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
As part of the kitchen brigade, you will help deliver beautifully prepared dishes across a variety of settings — from à la carte menus inspired by local produce to bespoke private dining and events. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Executive Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for food service across restaurant, private dining and events.
* Maintain consistency and quality in all food preparation and presentation.
* Support daily kitchen operations, including, prep work, and service execution.
* Follow all food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with best practice.
* Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
* Help innovate and refine seasonal menu items under the guidance of the Executive Head Chef.
* Contribute to inventory, stock control and kitchen cleanliness.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for food and creativity in preparation and presentation.
* Brings strong technical skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
* Works well under pressure in a busy environment.
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Holds relevant culinary qualifications and/or previous experience in a professional kitchen.
