We are seeking a dedicated Mailroom Supervisor, at HMRC Bristol to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our mailroom services. You will lead a team of operatives, ensuring an exceptional guest experience aligned with client specifications, while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

What you’ll do:

* Oversee all mailroom operations, ensuring services meet contractual and client expectations.

* Manage and support mailroom staff, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

* Ensure compliance with company and client policies, including health & safety, security, infection control, and COSHH regulations.

* Wear appropriate uniform and PPE at all times.

* Deliver staff training on operational, legal, and client-specific procedures.

* Conduct regular audits to ensure service standards and compliance.

* Maintain and update mailroom software systems and complete administrative tasks as required.

* Report building defects and equipment faults promptly.

* Coordinate supplies ordering and distribution.

* Liaise regularly with the client and attend team/client meetings.

* Lead staff briefings and collect payroll-related information.

What you bring:

Essential

* Previous experience in a mailroom environment.
* Basic literacy and numeracy.
* Proficient in using computers and relevant software.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.

Desirable

* Previous supervisory experience.
* NVQ or equivalent qualification in facilities or support services.
