Smile Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive special school in Tamworth to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
This is a generic special school for pupils aged 11–19, supporting students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is committed to ensuring that every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Have experience working with or caring for young people with additional needs
Be able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
Demonstrate a patient, nurturing, and caring approach
Support pupils’ learning, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Work effectively as part of a team, while also using their own initiative
Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable) or equivalent experienceThe Role Will Include:
Supporting pupils with learning, social development, and emotional needs
Encouraging engagement in classroom and school-based activities
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
