We're looking for an Estate Cleaner to join our team on a permanent basis. As Incommunities Estate Cleaner, you will carry out cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, internally in customers blocks. External tasks such as litter picking, rubbish/fly tip removal, tidying bin stores. Tasks involve use of handheld and power machinery and chemicals.

Responsibilities
1. Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all areas identified by management, internal and external, including communal spaces within our properties, landscaped areas such as gardens and play areas, stairwells, fire escapes, landings, toilets, kitchens, lifts, community rooms etc.
2. Use hand and power operated cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops and brushes.
3. Carry out appropriate caretaking duties such as unblocking rubbish chutes, checking fire safety equipment is up to date, rotation of bins and reporting of faults.
4. Working outside clearing rubbish and fly tipping.
5. Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld by inspecting all areas and reporting any repairs or issues identified.
6. Carry out risk assessments prior to commencement of tasks and report on any hazards identified.
7. Other duties when required may include delivering mail shots to properties and painting communal areas.
8. You will be required to work weekends and evenings on a rota basis for bin work and emergencies.
9. You will be required to work in any area or district where Incommunities customers live.
Requirements
10. Experience in a physical manual role such as cleaning, caretaking or refuse collection.
11. Previously used a range of hand tools and/or power operated equipment.
12. Basic IT skills and have previously used Microsoft Word and Outlook.
13. A flexible and positive approach to work.
14. Basic knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety Legislation.
15. Physical strength and fitness is essential as a great deal of physical effort is required. Some of the duties include lifting and moving heavy and bulky items
16. Self motivation and the ability to be a team player but also work alone.
17. Hold a full manual UK driving license as you will be required to drive the van
