Events at Thatchers range from weddings and celebrations, to wakes and graduations, conferences to colleagues getting together.

Since our relaunch and refurbishment enquiries have been building, and now is the time to bring a dedicated part time Events coordinator (20-30 hours per week) to liaise with guest, and internal operations- including our F&B team, to bring the guests vision to life.
Thatcher’s Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. There are 87 guest rooms in total, including double, twin, family and interconnecting rooms. For extra comfort and convenience, Thatcher’s also offers guests the use of free onsite parking, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. With its high-tech facilities and ample parking, Thatcher’s Hotel a great place to do business. Thatcher’s boasts six meeting rooms in total, all equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, screening and I.T solutions.

Just under an hour away from London and lying between Guildford and Leatherhead, in the village of East Horsley, Thatcher’s Hotel is the perfect city escape. We are perfectly positioned to explore the many local attractions in the surrounding area.
Do you have the attention to detail to ensure pre-orders are shared and returned? Can you follow the table plans to ensure Christmas Day Dinner delivers for all?

Our Events Co Ordinator will build awareness of the Hotel in the market place and convert enquiries to confirmed Business and ensure the maximization of the Hotel facilities. They will proactively sell the Hotel facilities to ensure the budgeted figures are achieved/exceeded.

Main duties of the Events Cordinator role include;
* Quote event space, menus and bookings
* Co-ordinate and organise all conferences and banqueting requirements ensuring information sharing across departments dates and the expectations of our Customers.
* Resolve telephone enquiries and take the appropriate follow up action necessary to convert the call to then generate a ‘sale’.
* Ensure repeat/ return business.
* Prepare and execute cotnracts, inlcuding pament terms, within defined timeframes
* Offer creative and personalised resolutions for guest enquiries
* Co-ordinate with Conference & Banqueting Operations to ensure the smooth running of events.
* Source sales leads for potential business.
* Ensure all correspondence is prompt, timely and correct and includes all relevant inserts (brochures/quotations etc) and there is follow up after any mailing to convert business.
* Represent Hotel at local business events to increase footfall- working closely with centralised Sales and localised Revenue Managers
* Support Company vision for site- working closely with management in achieving targets

** This is a part time ON SITE opportunity- 20-30 hours per week, to be worked across 3,4, or 5 days, covering events and/ or evenings as Events diary requires**

To be successful in the Events Coordinator role you will need;
* Attention to detail
* Microsoft Office skills
* Fantastic telephone manner- you're happy and confident soft- selling the hotel and talking to new people/ guests
* Problem solving skills- for those unusual requests
