Health & Safety / Stakeholder Engagement Consultant Purpose of role: To support a structured, evidence led internal review of Canal & River Trust engagement on the specified area of canal/river, suitable for internal assurance and potential Health & Safety Executive (HSE) scrutiny. The role involves conducting a thorough assessment of all relevant evidence and documentation associated with the Canal & River Trust's historical stakeholder engagement activities relating to the specified area of canal /river, with particular attention to Health & Safety risks, legal obligations, and organizational decision-making processes. Responsibilities include reviewing existing documents within CRT systems-such as emails, SharePoint files, permits, RAMS, safety notifications, meeting records, events, business boating licenses, and agreements-while organizing and structuring these materials to build a comprehensive audit timeline. Analyse all Health & Safety data, identifying risk types (including public safety, navigation, contractor operations, environmental, reputational), and CRTs responses, appropriately categorizing findings. Prepare a detailed report encompassing an executive summary that synthesizes research outcomes with a comprehensive timeline of activity.
