Role Overview
The Internal Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of The Flex. We seek a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional to manage internal financial records, ensure financial integrity, and optimize accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
* Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure proper transaction recording.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
* Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
* Ensure accurate classification of revenue and expenses.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS/local standards.
* Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
* Develop and maintain internal financial controls to mitigate risks.
* Identify areas for process efficiency improvements.
* Manage expense tracking and employee reimbursements.
Requirements
* Experience:
o At least 3 years in financial accounting.
o Experience working remotely.
o Proficiency in accounting software, IFRS, and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
* Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent English communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely.
* Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
o Training in GAAP, IFRS, and experience with Xero/QuickBooks or similar.
