An established independent hospitality group is launching one of Liverpool’s exciting new venues.
This new concept blends premium late-night energy, immersive entertainment, and high-impact service theatre across multiple rooms — a celebration venue built for atmosphere, pace, and unforgettable guest moments.
We’re hiring an exceptional Openings Manager to lead the launch, set the operational standard, and create the blueprint for this and future sites within the group.
The Role
This is a senior site leadership role — you are the number one on-site, accountable for driving performance, culture, and guest experience through pre‑opening, launch, and stabilisation.
You’ll work closely with and mentor the General Manager, who runs day‑to‑day operations under your guidance. The GM remains the on‑the‑ground leader of the team, while you set the commercial, brand, and performance rhythm that ensures long‑term success.
Once the venue reaches steady state, you’ll transition to the group’s next opening, maintaining light‑touch oversight and coaching support.
Who You Are
You’re an experienced, commercially minded hospitality leader who thrives on launch energy, builds high‑performing teams, and loves creating atmosphere‑led guest experiences.
You’re both hands‑on and strategic — equally at home leading floor operations as you are mentoring managers through P&L reviews, culture‑building, and service delivery.
You see this role as a chance to build a flagship model that shapes the future of the group.
What You’ll Lead
 * Full‑site performance: Accountable for sales, GP, labour, standards, and compliance across all trading areas.
 * Team development: Build, mentor, and empower the management team — ensuring the GM leads daily operations with confidence and autonomy.
 * Launch execution: Lead recruitment, training, service rehearsals, and soft openings from start to finish.
 * Commercial rhythm: Drive weekly reviews on sales, margins, and labour efficiency, supporting the GM in execution.
 * Guest experience: Protect the brand vision, service theatre, and atmosphere in partnership with marketing and entertainment.
 * Continuous improvement: Capture learnings and refine operational playbooks for future openings.
Key Accountabilities
 * Deliver the full opening and stabilisation plan to agreed timelines.
 * Achieve and sustain weekly sales, GP, and labour KPIs in line with budget.
 * Mentor and develop the General Manager and senior team to achieve operational independence.
 * Maintain full licensing, health & safety, and audit compliance.
 * Partner with the Operations Director on commercial strategy, programming, and group planning.
 * Act as brand custodian for standards, service, and guest experience.
 * Prepare the site and team for success before stepping into your next opening project.
