Trainee Buyer
CCG is one of Scotland's largest privately-owned construction and manufacturing companies, and we have an exciting traineeship opportunity available in our Buying Dept. based at our company HQ in Cambuslang.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be working alongside our Buyers, covering a broad spectrum of different project types and construction activity, all with a view to optimising purchasing benefit. These projects can range anywhere from £100,000 to £15 million. Responsibilities include:
SALARY: DOE
HOURS: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm. Core Flexible Hours available.
LOCATION: CCG (Scotland), 1 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow G32 8NB – this is an office-based role and does not involve working from home.

THE ROLE
Ability to prepare material enquiries using the correct documentation.
Analyse and solve problems.
Evaluate the supplier quotation against the specification.
Good knowledge of buying principles
Good negotiation skills and decision-making
