As an Associate in the External Reporting Team within the Equities Product Control Group, you play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our Equities Trading business. You will help us strengthen our control framework, drive process improvements, and implement innovative solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance and transparency. Together, we create value for the business and support your professional growth.
Job Responsibilities
1. Design, maintain, and enhance controls for daily and monthly balance sheet and liquidity processes
2. Identify risks early and ensure robust data and reporting
3. Seek and implement smarter, more efficient ways of working
4. Automate manual tasks and challenge existing processes
5. Reconcile trading positions, balances, and valuations with accuracy
6. Investigate and resolve data mismatches and issues
7. Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulations
8. Participate in control testing and maintain clear process documentation
9. Support audits and knowledge sharing across teams
10. Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as Alteryx
11. Collaborate with trading, treasury, operations, and finance teams to align goals and share ideas
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
12. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, STEM, or related field
13. Relevant experience in product control, financial analysis, or similar analytical role
14. Understanding of equities products such as cash equities, equity derivatives, swaps, and financing business
15. Proficiency in Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau
16. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, control enhancement, or automation initiatives
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
18. High attention to detail and accuracy
19. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
20. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
21. Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions
22. Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and presenting ideas to management
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
23. Knowledge of balance sheet and liquidity concepts
24. Progress toward professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA
25. Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews
26. Familiarity with process documentation best practices
27. Exposure to automation tools beyond Alteryx
28. Experience working in a global or cross-functional team environment
29. Strong written and verbal communication skills
