Offer description

Groundwork Wales is seeking a part-time Project Officer (30 hours over 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday).


Responsibilities:

* Support the development and delivery of community nature-based programmes
* Maintain effective relationships with partner organisations
* Identify and recruit groups, individuals, and partners to participate in programme activities
* Supervise participants to develop environmental conservation and interpersonal skills
* Deliver accredited courses and provide 1:1 mentoring sessions
* Record progress towards targets and assist with report preparation for funding bodies and marketing
* Assist with identifying and applying for additional funding opportunities


Candidate Requirements:

* Skills in community-based conservation, biodiversity, and developing skills in nature, with an interest in supporting people, families, and communities to conserve, restore, and protect green and blue spaces
* A full current driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
* Familiarity with community work practices and related legislation
* Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
* Adherence to GDPR regulations regarding personal information
* Commitment to ensuring the health and safety of all involved in Groundwork Wales' work

Additional Details:

* Working Hours: 30 hours over 4 days (Monday - Thursday)
* Location: Pontllanfraith, Blackwood, with travel across the region and visits to community hubs
* Salary Range: £24,000 to £26,000 per annum pro rata
* Contract Tenure: Fixed Term until February 2026
