We are seeking to recruit a Administrator to support within The Directorate. This position is temporary until 10/10/2027.
You will provide an effective, efficient, compliant and customer focused support service with a particular responsibility for programmes of study. The Administrator role will be part of the Operations Administration team to create a culture of ongoing improvement.
The Directorate provides support for students and members of staff relating to academic skills development, work-related, online and lifelong learning, and leads on the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP). A key focus of the Directorate is ensuring the University has a high quality and sustainable educational portfolio, which delivers excellent student outcomes and is aligned to the University curriculum framework. It has overall responsibility for ensuring all teaching related activities (UK and international) deliver against the University’s KPIs and regulatory compliance.
The Directorate supports cross-institutional activities such as continuous monitoring and improvement (CMI) and curriculum review, as well as enhancing student outcome metrics and supporting responses to surveys such as the National Student Survey, Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey and the Graduate Outcomes Survey.
The Directorate therefore plays a key role in developing, enhancing and evaluating the impact of the University activities that support the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). It will also be an essential component, working in partnership with the academic faculties and Student Journey Directorate, in delivering the University’s Student Success Strategy. You will be a proactive individual, able to work without direct supervision and able to demonstrate considerable initiative, tact and confidentiality together with high levels of communication skills and literacy. You will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and be required to demonstrate evidence as an administrator who has serviced cross departmental committees, use of SITs and e-Vision or a similar student management system, dealing with financial data and producing financial reports. Demonstrative experience of working within stipulated regulations and procedures is essential. You will be capable of working under pressure and to pre-set deadlines.
You will report to the Head of Operations (ADS evening working and travel between campuses may be required.
