Are you looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Manchester, UK.

Overview:
Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects, focusing on profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and proactive management. Oversee applications, valuations, payments, and align activities with company policies. Play a pivotal role in guiding commercial strategy and project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights for profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Administer contracts, negotiate variations, ensure obligations are met, and minimise legal risks.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Oversee procurement, evaluate bids, select subcontractors, and ensure value alignment.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, prepare final accounts, and report profitability, risks, and opportunities.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks to safeguard the company's interests.
The Ideal Person:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Proven track record in senior roles with high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices
* Advanced knowledge of contract law, building regulations, health & safety
* Excellent commercial skills and financial reporting experience
* Social Housing or maintenance background preferred
* Good IT skills, strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Time management skills, ability to work under pressure
