Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Pay: £13.68 per hour
Shifts: Day and Night shifts available
Contract: Temp to Perm
About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Mental Health Support Workers to join Balfor Health and Social Care in Tewkesbury. You will support adults with a range of needs, including:
1. Autism & ADHD
2. Learning Disabilities
3. Mental Health Conditions
4. Brain Injury
5. Non-Verbal Individuals
6. Challenging Behaviour
7. Wheelchair Users
Your role will help individuals live independently, build confidence, and enjoy everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
8. Provide 1:1 and group support in supported living or residential settings
9. Assist with personal care, medication, and daily routines
10. Promote independence and life skills
11. Encourage participation in social and community activities
12. Build positive, respectful, and supportive relationships
13. Deliver person-centred care tailored to each individual
Requirements
14. Minimum 6 months’ experience in care, mental health, learning disabilities, or supporting complex needs
15. Full UK driving licence (essential)
16. MAPA/PMVA training or willingness to train
17. Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
18. Strong communication and teamwork skills
19. Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
